Volleyball Game Preview: The Nueva School Mavericks vs. Summit Shasta Black Bears

The Nueva School is 0-10 against Summit Shasta since October of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mavericks will face off against the Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. The Nueva School will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Thursday, The Nueva School beat University Prep Academy 3-1.

The Nueva School had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-15, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Summit Shasta came up short against Sequoia on Saturday and fell 2-0.

The Nueva School now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Summit Shasta, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.

The Nueva School couldn't quite get it done against Summit Shasta when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
