Basketball Recap: 14 Straight Home Wins for Summerfield Waldorf

Summerfield Waldorf had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They took down the Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans 48-31. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Spartans back in January, they had to take a 41-39 defeat.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Campbell, who posted ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhordany Barcenas, who had six points and five rebounds.

Summerfield Waldorf's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points over those games. As for Rio Lindo Adventist, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
