Piedmont is 10-0 against Tennyson since May of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Piedmont Highlanders will look to defend their home field against the Tennyson Lancers at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Piedmont's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Tennyson has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Piedmont can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-1 margin over Hayward.
Miya Fujimoto made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Fujimoto was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and a stolen base.
In other batting news, Angelina Wu was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mia Leggett, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
