Basketball Recap: Aurora West College Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Aurora West College Prep Academy lost against Arvada back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans lost 64-41 to the Arvada Bulldogs.

Arvada's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cameron Henderson, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 11 boards. Henderson has become a key player for Arvada: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 20 points, but 0-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Kent, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 18 points and five steals.

Aurora West College Prep Academy's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Arvada, their win bumped their record up to 3-16.

Looking ahead, Aurora West College Prep Academy will head out on the road to challenge Two Roads Charter School at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Arvada, they will be playing at home against Middle Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Middle Park knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Arvada likes a good challenge.
