Baseball Game Preview: New Canaan Rams vs. Wilton Warriors

The New Canaan Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Wilton Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. New Canaan will be strutting in after a win while Wilton will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, New Canaan was able to grind out a solid victory over Greenwich, taking the game 4-1.

Zak Joslin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because New Canaan is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.

At the plate, New Canaan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Petey Zwick, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Zwick has brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Wilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Danbury, falling 13-1.

Wilton's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for New Canaan, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
