Basketball Recap: St. George's Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

There's no place like home for St. George, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They secured a 51-46 W over the Middle College Bulldogs on Saturday.

Leading St. George's to victory were Carson Crump and Martechio 'MJ' Hayes. Crump posted 16 points and five boards, while Hayes almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Hayes also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Jesse Brown was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

St. George's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Middle College, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. George's will welcome Trezevant at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Middle College, they will host Memphis East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
