Softball Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

If Walton was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Blountstown on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves fell just short of the Chipley Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Rosie Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will host Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chipley, they will square off against Vernon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
