Baseball Game Preview: Concord Minutemen vs. Wawasee Warriors

The Concord Minutemen will face off against the Wawasee Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Concord nor Wawasee posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Concord came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Warsaw, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Concord saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Norwood, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Enmanuel Rosa also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Wawasee came up short against Goshen on Monday and fell 5-1.

Wawasee's defeat was their 12th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Concord, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Concord beat Wawasee 5-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Minutemen repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
