Basketball Preview: Desert Edge Scorpions vs. Fairfax Stampede
The Desert Edge Scorpions will head out on the road to square off against the Fairfax Stampede at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Edge has given up an average of 50.2 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Desert Edge saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of ALA - Queen Creek.

They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 71-65 W against the Mustangs. While the Stampede didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Desert Edge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fairfax, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
