Basketball Game Preview: Morrison Mustangs vs. Kewanee Boilermakers

The Morrison Mustangs and the Kewanee Boilermakers will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Morrison is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Mercer County 69-51 on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Kewanee entered their tilt with Riverdale on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They managed a 51-47 victory over the Rams.

Kewanee pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Morrison, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Morrison was dealt a bruising 77-42 loss at the hands of Kewanee in their previous matchup back in January of 2016. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Morrison was down 34-12.
