Basketball Game Preview: Westover Patriots vs. Peach County Trojans

After both having extra time off, the Westover Patriots and the Peach County Trojans will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Westover's tournament run continued when they took on Dougherty last Friday. Westover took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dougherty.

Despite the loss, Westover had strong showings from Savannah Donaldson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Sydney Donaldson, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. That was a full 39.5% of Westover's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Westover smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Peach County, as they earned their first road win of the season. They blew past West Laurens 46-26 last Saturday.

Westover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Peach County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
