Baseball Recap: Hancock County Comes Up Short

Hancock County saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came up short against the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons, falling 20-5. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hancock County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Shultz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The Hornets are 2-1 when Shultz posts two or more runs, but 2-10 otherwise.

Hancock County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-1.

Looking ahead, Hancock County is taking a road trip to challenge Butler County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they will take on St. Vincent-St. Mary at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
