Basketball Recap: Winamac Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Triton came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Winamac, but Kandace Kroft wouldn't allow it. The Winamac Warriors strolled past the Triton Trojans with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 45-28 thanks in part to Kroft, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Kaelyn O?Connor was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five boards and four steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Triton still got an impressive performance from Sierra Hawley, who posted seven points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Hawley has posted since back in January of 2024.

Winamac has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Triton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16.

Winamac has already played their next matchup (against Oregon-Davis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Triton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Culver Community at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
