Soccer Recap: Neosho Takes a Loss

Neosho fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Republic on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. Neosho just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Neosho's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Republic, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Neosho is set to face off against their familiar foe Carthage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Republic will challenge rival Waynesville at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday.
