Softball Recap: Amsterdam Rams vs. South Glens Falls Bulldogs

Amsterdam kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They suffered a rough 14-0 loss at the hands of the South Glens Falls Bulldogs. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Amsterdam in their matchups with South Glens Falls: they've now lost six in a row.

For South Glens Falls' part, Jessica Beames was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Beames was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double.

In other batting news, South Glens Falls let Kylee Craft and Jade Maille loose on the outfield.
