Basketball Recap: Hooks Drops Season-High Score on Redwater

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hooks). They blew past the Redwater Dragons, posting an 86-48 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Redwater's loss on Tuesday came despite strong showings from Kobi Johnson and Caden McClain. Johnson posted seven points and three steals, while McClain had 14 points. Another player making a difference was Carson Wheat, who put up 12 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Hooks and bumps their season record up to 13-11. As for Redwater, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.

Hooks will square off against De Kalb at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hooks has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Redwater, they will face off against Liberty-Eylau at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Liberty-Eylau will roll in looking for their 25th straight win, something Redwater surely won't give up without a fight.
