Baseball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

If Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 24-0 takedown of Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors came up short against the Hillsboro Indians on Thursday, falling 13-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hillsboro, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Eastern will square off against Georgetown at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillsboro, they will venture away from home to challenge Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Ironman/Ironladies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
