Basketball Recap: Cartersville Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Shakai Taylor and Wyatt Thomason

Cartersville lost against Allatoona back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cartersville Hurricanes took a 62-45 bruising from the Allatoona Buccaneers. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cartersville's loss came despite strong showings from Wyatt Thomason and Shakai Taylor. Thomason dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Taylor went 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points and eight boards.

Cartersville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Allatoona, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Cartersville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-43 loss against New Manchester on the 7th. As for Allatoona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-49 defeat against Woodstock on the 7th.
