Basketball Recap: Highline Pirates vs. Foster Bulldogs
The Highline Pirates's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 66-57 win over Foster. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Marquawn Mccraney, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Corey Crosby, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Highline's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Foster, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16.
Highline will square off against the Wolverines at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Evergreen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully the Pirates like a good challenge. Foster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
