Baseball Recap: Danbury Hatters vs. Ludlowe Falcons
Danbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-1 to the Ludlowe Falcons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hatters were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Finn Cline was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits.
On the hitting side, Danbury saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobby Mariano, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was Mariano's first of the season.
Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Ludlowe, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.
