            Baseball Recap: Central York Panthers vs. Penn Manor Comets        
        
		
        
        
            If Central York was riding high  fresh off their  18-1 takedown of William Penn on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell  6-2 to the Penn Manor Comets on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the  2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2022.
 Central York saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Wyatt Mahler, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base. That  stolen base was  Mahler's first of the season.
Central York's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Penn Manor, their win  ended  an  eight-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 5-7.
 Central York didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  6-5  victory against Red Land on the 21st. As for Penn Manor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  matchup,  a  6-4  win against Cedar Crest on the 21st.
