Flag Football Recap: Sadie Gill and Lexi Underwood Pace Lafayette Defense

LaFayette fell victim to Rome and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a hard 18-0 fall against the Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Ramblers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Wolves are ranked 125th).

LaFayette didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sadie Gill and Lexi Underwood. Gill also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten.

This is the second loss in a row for LaFayette and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Rome, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Coincidentally, LaFayette and Rome will both be playing Gilmer the next time they take the field. The Wolves will head out to face the Bobcats at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Ramblers will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
