Basketball Recap: Scio Takes a Loss

Scio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the Jefferson Lions on the road by a 56-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Loggers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Lions are ranked 32nd).

Scio's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Jefferson, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Scio will square off against Dayton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Scio is facing Dayton at the right time seeing as Dayton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Ida B. Wells on Friday. Ida B. Wells will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight.
