Destrehan is a perfect 10-0 against Central Lafourche since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Destrehan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Central Lafourche likes a good challenge.

Destrehan is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Captain Shreve: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Gators out of the water with a 68-28 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-14.

Meanwhile, Central Lafourche played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Hahnville, falling 49-16. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Tigers are ranked 39th).

Central Lafourche has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Destrehan, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Destrehan against Central Lafourche when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
