Volleyball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

Eastern lost against Southwood back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comets lost 3-0 to the Knights.

While Eastern was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Southwood's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-17.

Mackenzie Appleton paced Eastern's offense, picking up six kills. Appleton got some help from Josie Odle and her nine assists.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwood, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Eastern has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Tipton on the 21st. As for Southwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Peru on the 28th.
