After losing to Stansbury the last time they met, Morgan decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Trojans blew past the Stallions 12-2 on Saturday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by eight runs or more this season.
Callie Averett made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Averett was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Joesi Kelly was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Lexi Hardman was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Morgan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive matches.
Morgan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
