Central Valley lost against Johansen back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Hawks lost  28-7 to the Vikings. The  contest marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 Junior Gomez threw for 138 yards  on ten of 25 attempts.   Julian Gonzalez was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Emanuel Luna rushed for 57 yards.
 A big part of Johansen's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Anthony Torres and his top target  Grabriel Ibanez. Torres threw for 173 yards and three  TDs while  Ibanez picked up 45 receiving yards and one  touchdown. Torres has become a key player for Johansen: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  three  passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
This is the second loss in a row for Central Valley and  nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Johansen, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season.
 Central Valley has already played their next contest,  a  42-7  defeat against Lathrop on the 24th. As for Johansen, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  38-14  win against Livingston on the 24th.
