Softball Recap: De La Salle Comes Up Short

De La Salle and Nazareth Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but De La Salle had to settle for second. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roadrunners. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Meteors of the 9-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Abby Trendle was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

De La Salle's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 25-11. As for Nazareth Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-15.

As of now, neither De La Salle nor the Roadrunners have any future games scheduled.
