Volleyball Recap: Thayer Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Noble & Greenough

Thayer Academy faced Noble & Greenough in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.

Thayer Academy's offense was headlined by Kaitlyn Butkuss and Naraya Dasilva, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Caroline Snyder and her ten assists. Dasilva was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Thayer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Noble & Greenough, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Thayer Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Tabor Academy on the 4th. As for Noble & Greenough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Milton Academy on the 4th.
