            Comsewogue hasn't had much luck against Smithtown West recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against Smithtown West  at 4:00  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Comsewogue took a loss when they played away from home  on April 2nd, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Bellport  a   12-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Warriors needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.
Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  contest, Smithtown West made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Bellport  on Friday. Smithtown West put the hurt on Bellport with a sharp  15-0 win. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for Smithtown West this season.
 Erin McDaid made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs.
 In other batting news, Smithtown West got a  massive  performance out of  Gabrielle Krayewski, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  stolen base marked the first that  Krayewski has  snagged this season.  Avery Bonello was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Smithtown West  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .528. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in April of 2024.
 The  victory  got Smithtown West back to even at 5-5. As for Comsewogue,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
