Basketball Recap: Excel Christian Academy Triumphs

Excel Christian Academy hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost three straight) but thanks in part to Valerie Stapelton that streak is no more. The Excel Christian Academy Eagles walked away with a 51-39 victory over the Christian Home Educators Knights on Friday thanks in part to Stapelton, who posted 14 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Excel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Christian Home Educators, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

Excel Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-34 victory against King's Academy on the 1st. Christian Home Educators has also already played their next contest (against East Texas Homeschool Sports), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
