Basketball Recap: Cumberland Falls Short Against Ranked Lincoln

On Friday, Cumberland faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The match between the Cumberland Clippers and the Lincoln Lions didn't end well, with the Cumberland Clippers falling 62-48. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Clippers of the 66-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Cumberland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Lincoln, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Cumberland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-43 win against Woonsocket on the 28th. Lincoln has also already played their next contest, a 70-52 victory against Tolman on the 28th.
