Preview: York vs. Trinity Christian
York has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Trinity Christian Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on York, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, York gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Pacific Grove a 3-0 shutout. That's two games straight that York has won by exactly three goals.
They hit Pacific Grove with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Jean-Pierre Brenot,
Danny Penrose, and
Sebastian Del Toro.
Meanwhile, sadly, Trinity Christian is still looking for their first win of the season after ten matches. They were the victim of a rough 6-0 loss at the hands of Pacific Grove on Thursday.
York pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three matches. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
York took their victory against Trinity Christian when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 4-0. Does York have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trinity Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
