Basketball Game Preview: Medina Valley Panthers vs. Alexander Bulldogs

The Medina Valley Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Alexander Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Medina Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat LEE 75-46. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Volunteers are ranked 713th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Alexander waltzed into their match on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They took their game with ease, bagging a 73-44 victory over the Coyotes.

Medina Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Alexander, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Medina Valley came up short against Alexander in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, falling 66-60. Can Medina Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
