Football Recap: Seneca Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Seneca extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They took down the Monett Cubs 68-52. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Cubs are ranked 97th).

As for Monett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. They haven't had much luck with Seneca recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Monett lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dylan Washick, who threw for 441 yards and five touchdowns. Washick is crushing it when it comes to passing yards: he's passed for at least 307 every time he's taken the field this season. Brayden Seitz was in the mix as well, providing Monett with two TDs.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seneca is set to square off against their familiar foe Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Monett will challenge rival McDonald County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
