After flying high against Layton last Thursday, Syracuse came back down to earth. The Titans took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Farmington Phoenix on Tuesday. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
While Syracuse ultimately came up short, they really made Farmington work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-16, 26-28, 25-22.
Syracuse's offense was headlined by Kayl Beutler and Chase Barrett, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Talon Morris and his 39 assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.
