Softball Recap: Winterset Has No Trouble Against Atlantic

Winterset barely beat Atlantic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies blew past the Trojans 11-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won six matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Winterset pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Atlantic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7.

Winterset has already played their next contest (against Creston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Atlantic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-5 defeat against Ankeny on the 13th.
