            Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against St. Andrews-Sewanee  last Thursday, Notre Dame came back down to earth. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish came up short against  the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish on Saturday, falling  73-52. Notre Dame hasn't had much luck with Knoxville Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

 Despite the loss, Notre Dame still got an impressive performance from   Gaas Herman, who  posted 17  points. Herman has been hot for a while, having  posted 15 or more points the last 14 times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Aidan Redner, who  earned ten  points.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Knoxville Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Cade Murphy, who  went 8 for 16  on his way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Tj Tipton, who  dropped  a double-double on 15  points and 11  rebounds.
Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Knoxville Catholic, their win was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 14-4.
 Notre Dame will challenge Collegedale Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Notre Dame is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1  points per game  this season. Knoxville Catholic has  already played their next  contest (against Cleveland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
