Recap: Eastern Randolph Wildcats vs. Randleman Tigers
The Eastern Randolph Wildcats had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.4 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Randleman 22-21. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Eastern Randolph also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Carter Revelle was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
When it comes to explaining why Randleman lost, one person who can't be blamed is Edison Hernandez. Despite the final result, he rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Eastern Randolph's win was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-1. As for Randleman, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Randolph will take on Cherryville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherryville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 341st, while Eastern Randolph is ranked 82nd). As for Randleman, they will be playing at home against West Stanly at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
