Basketball Game Preview: NCSSM: Morganton Dragons vs. Mitchell Mountaineers

NCSSM: Morganton is 0-3 against Mitchell since January of 2024 but things could change on Wednesday. The NCSSM: Morganton Dragons are taking a road trip to square off against the Mitchell Mountaineers at 6:00 p.m.

NCSSM: Morganton is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Madison on Friday. They had to suffer through a 66-28 loss at the hands of the Patriots.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mitchell beat Draughn 71-65 on Tuesday.

NCSSM: Morganton's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Mitchell, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

NCSSM: Morganton might still be hurting after the 89-67 defeat they got from Mitchell in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can NCSSM: Morganton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
