Game recap: Collins High School Football Team bests Choctaw County

Collins (Miss.) overcame
Choctaw County (Ackerman, Miss.), 19-7.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
M.J. McLaurin to
Calvin Keys in the second quarter, the Tigers were up 18-8 at the half.
Choctaw County's only touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.
Collins came into the game allowing 11.3 points per game. The seven points that the Chargers ended with were well below their average of 30.5 coming into the game.
The victory was a step in the right direction for CHS, which was coming off a 41-32 defeat at the hands of Morton in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for Choctaw County.
In their next matchup the Tigers (9-3) will take on Choctaw Central in a playoff game. The Warriors enter the contest having posted a 1-10.
