The Ellet Orangemen will square off against the Norton Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ellet will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Ellet beat South 6-1.

Rylie Sprouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Grace Norman was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Kearns, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ellet kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 13 consecutive contests.
Norton came out on top against Woodridge on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won eight in a row.
Addison Calo and Chloe Womble did most of the damage at the plate: Calo went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI, while Womble went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Mairin Mattei was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Ellet's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for Norton, the win got them back to even at 7-7-1.
Everything went Ellet's way against Norton in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Ellet made off with a 14-4 victory. Do the Orangemen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
