Paul Laurence Dunbar faced Sayre in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on four straight.

Paul Laurence Dunbar was led to victory by Peyton Beatty and Zya Richardson. Beatty had 15 digs and four assists, while Richardson had six digs and four aces. Beatty is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Paul Laurence Dunbar was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 8-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Paul Laurence Dunbar's record is now 21-17. As for Sayre, their loss dropped their record down to 29-8.

As of now, neither Paul Laurence Dunbar nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
