Softball Game Preview: Sheridan Yellowjackets vs. Bryant Hornets

The Sheridan Yellowjackets will challenge the Bryant Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sheridan 2.6, Bryant 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Sheridan took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past White Hall 3-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bryant). They never let Central get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Hornets have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the fourth in a row for Bryant, bringing their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Sheridan, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season.
