Soccer Game Preview: Manchester vs. Richmond High School for the Arts

The Manchester Lancers will square off against the Richmond High School for the Arts Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Manchester fell victim to Glen Allen and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 4-0 to the Jaguars. Keegan Kilcomons was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Meanwhile, Richmond High School for the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against James River Midlothian, falling 4-0. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Richmond High School for the Arts it sure didn't stay that way.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Richmond High School for the Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1.

Manchester skirted past Richmond High School for the Arts 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
