Football Game Preview: Hammond Central Wolves vs. Munster Mustangs

After each having a week off, the Hammond Central Wolves and the Munster Mustangs will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hammond Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Hammond Central's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Hanover Central last Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Wildcats are ranked 114th).

Meanwhile, Munster narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Kankakee Valley 17-14.

Munster's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Hammond Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Hammond Central might still be hurting after the 23-0 loss they got from Munster in their previous matchup back in October of 2021. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
