Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Wins Going Away Against Chesapeake

Chesapeake typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Southeastern proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on Chesapeake with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Southeastern.

While Southeastern might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Chesapeake scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

Kylee Dunn paced Southeastern's offense, picking up 12 kills. Dunn got some help from Lilly Steele and her 17 assists. Briley Kirkbride controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Chesapeake still got an impressive performance from Bre Scarberry, who had ten digs and two assists.

Southeastern's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Chesapeake, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.

Coming up, Southeastern is taking a road trip to square off against Adena at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Chesapeake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
