Ellington had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 4-6 to make it four. They lost 15-2 to the Greenville Bears. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Whippets couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Greenville, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For Greenville's part, M Hill was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Hill was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March.
