Taylor and Kenton Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Taylor had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Yellowjackets' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Taylor started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Kenton Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kenton Ridge, they will square off against Bishop Fenwick at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
