Football Game Preview: Angola Hornets vs. Garrett Railroaders

The Angola Hornets will challenge the Garrett Railroaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Angola is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 21-20 victory over West Noble. 21 seems to be a good number for the Hornets as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

It was another big night for Hawk Hasselman, who rushed for 148 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Garrett waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Lakers as they made off with a 21-0 victory.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Garrett's defense and their three sacks. Aiden Hunt was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Angola now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Garrett, they now also have a winning record of 6-5.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Angola has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 161.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Garrett struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 173.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Angola skirted past Garrett 14-11 in their previous meeting back in October. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Railroaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
